Empak returned again to Takestan City, near Qazvin, Iran for a Mould Design, IS Production and Mouldshop Training, with MOFID GLASS, NAFIS GLASS and ZABSAN Urmia Ind.

Using the holistic approach of Empak's Concept+ on its usual roadmap starting from the glass and its properties, then glass conditioning, gob loading and IS timing combined with a good mould design as well as the material properties, all tied to real production scenarios—because theory has to earn its place on the shopfloor!

This enables to start productions on a better starting point, reduce defects and ultimately reduce the time to market.

Using step by step examples, from the actual glass bottle development, by tackling concepts as:

Brimful/filling capacity
Weight
Headspace
Tilting angle
Product to be filled, temperatures that the filled product will endure

And from there proceeding to parison design rules and forming Simulation to determine a wall thickness distribution and from there to proceed to:

Impacts loads according to the filling line characteristics
Vertical loads on capping, pallet empty and full
Internal pressure buildup on QC-test, pasteurization and even transport conditions.

And finally using the corresponding IS machine Mould Design manuals for the selection of assemblies, inverts and IS machine limits, several scenarios were tested!
