Empak held in Lisbon, Portugal, a dedicated Product Development and Mouldshop Workshops for Zignago Vetro.

ree

Zignago Vetro produces a wide range of container glass, from Blow and Blow process, to Wide mouth and some NNPB, as well as cosmetic and perfumery items.

It has glass plants located in Italy, France and Poland and even their own Company for Mould Making.

As part of our tradition in these trainings, we invite the attendees to bring real case scenarios to challenge Empak's PAKForming Simulator and this time was no exception.

Concepts like glass properties, IS timing and even the impact of glass conditioning, gob temperature and delivery system in order to develop the building blocks for a successful mould design were widely discussed.

Then combining all of this onto the analysis from the Mouldshop perspective and considering that "Forming Department" is their client, is the perspective that was used to discuss the Mouldshop approach and even to analyze Process, Quality Control data and forecast the evolution of a Job Run, dimensionally, volumes and possible defects.

Our deep thanks to Zignago and their continuous interest in attending our Workshops, year after year!

Next stop? You tell us. Let’s build it. Although Empak has much more visibility in terms of trainings, our core is actual shopfloor work and bridging the gap in between fillers and glass plants!

Sincerely,

All Empakglass Team!

Empak returned to the United Kingdom, more precisely Ardagh Doncaster for a Mould Design Workshop.

The training covered a wide range of essential topics, including:

🔹 Parison design for all forming processes – Blow & Blow (B&B), Narrow Neck Press & Blow (NNPB), and Wide Mouth Press & Blow

🔹 Key principles of mould design and performance

🔹 Practical applications and optimization strategies

What made this session truly impactful was the collaborative participation of professionals from multiple departments — including mould design, forming, and mould shops — representing all ARDAGH plants across the UK.

It was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge, align best practices, and strengthen technical understanding across the teams.

A big thank you to everyone at ARDAGH Doncaster for your engagement and hospitality — we look forward to more collaborations in the future.
